About Fitlab Nutrition

Where science meets everyday wellbeing.

Fitlab Nutrition was built on a simple belief — that taking care of your body should not require a biochemistry degree or blind faith in whatever a label tells you. You deserve to know exactly what you are putting into your body, why it is there, and what the evidence actually says about it.

Our Origin

It started with a question nobody was answering.

There is a moment most people know but rarely talk about. You are standing in a shop aisle — or scrolling through yet another website — staring at rows of supplement bottles that all promise roughly the same thing.

More energy. Better focus. A healthier gut. The labels are crowded with words you half-recognise, the dosages are hidden behind phrases like "proprietary blend," and somewhere in the back of your mind a small, tired voice asks: how am I supposed to know what actually works?

That question is where Fitlab Nutrition began. Not in a boardroom. Not with a business plan pinned to a wall. It began with real frustration, felt by real people who had spent years trying to look after their health and kept running into the same wall of noise, confusion, and broken trust.

We built Fitlab Nutrition because we believed — and still believe — that taking care of your body should not require a biochemistry degree or blind faith in whatever a label tells you. You deserve to know exactly what you are putting into your body, why it is there, and what the evidence actually says about it. That is not a radical idea. It is just one that far too few brands have been willing to commit to.

How We Began

The personal frustration that lit the fuse.

The people who started Fitlab Nutrition were not career supplement executives. They were individuals trying to manage their own health in a world that makes it surprisingly difficult.

The personal frustration that lit the fuse.

Some came from fitness backgrounds. Others had spent years dealing with low energy, digestive discomfort, or the slow creep of metabolic issues that never felt serious enough for a doctor's visit but were always there, quietly dragging down their quality of life.

What they shared was a common experience: buying supplements that looked promising, taking them faithfully, and feeling… nothing. Or worse, feeling something unpleasant and not understanding why. When they tried to research what they were taking, they found an industry that seemed designed to keep them confused. Ingredient lists were vague. Dosages were buried or absent. Marketing copy was full of grand claims that never pointed to a single study.

One of our founding team members recalls ordering a well-known energy supplement that listed eight different ingredients on the front of the bottle. When he looked at the back, every single one of those ingredients was lumped under a single "proprietary blend" with a combined weight that made it mathematically impossible for most of them to be present in any meaningful dose. He was paying for a label, not a product. That was the moment the conversation shifted from "someone should fix this" to "we need to fix this ourselves."

The early days — research, rejection, and starting over

Starting Fitlab Nutrition was not glamorous. The first eighteen months were largely spent in research — reading clinical papers, consulting with nutritional scientists, and mapping out which areas of health were both genuinely important to everyday wellbeing and genuinely underserved by the products already on the market. We did not want to create another brand that sold thirty different supplements for thirty different things. We wanted to understand where the real gaps were.

That process was slow, and honestly, it was humbling. We went down paths that turned out to be dead ends. We explored ingredients that looked incredible in isolation but did not work well together. We prototyped formulations that were scientifically sound on paper but impractical to manufacture at the purity standards we were determined to maintain. More than once, we scrapped months of work and went back to the drawing board.

What kept us going was the clarity of the problem. Every time we spoke to friends, family, or strangers about supplements, we heard the same themes: confusion, distrust, and resignation. People had either given up on supplements entirely or were taking things they did not fully believe in, just hoping for the best. That gap between what people needed and what the market was offering was too wide to ignore.

The Problem

The trust gap Fitlab Nutrition set out to close.

The supplement industry, for all the good it can do, has a serious credibility problem. It is an industry where a brand can put a tiny sprinkle of an expensive ingredient into a capsule, list it on the label, and technically tell the truth while functionally misleading you. It is an industry where the phrase "clinically studied" can appear on a bottle even if the study in question used a completely different dosage, a different form of the ingredient, or a population that has nothing in common with the person buying the product.

And then there is the sheer volume of choice. Walk into any health shop or browse any supplement website and you will find hundreds of products screaming for your attention. Every one of them has bold graphics, confident language, and a promise that this particular capsule or powder will change your life. When everything claims to be the best, nothing stands out, and the person trying to make an informed decision is left more confused than when they started.

We saw this not just as a market gap but as a trust problem. People were not struggling because they lacked options. They were struggling because they had no reliable way to tell the good options from the bad ones. The information asymmetry between brands and consumers was enormous, and very few companies had any incentive to close it.

Fitlab Nutrition was built to close that gap. Not with louder marketing or flashier packaging, but with transparency, evidence, and the kind of straightforward honesty that should be the baseline in this industry but somehow is not.

Our Focus

The three pillars — energy, metabolic health, and gut health.

We kept coming back to a simple question: what are the things that, when they are working well, make everything else in your life feel easier? Not the flashy goals — the foundational things.

i.

Energy

True, sustainable energy is not about stimulation. It is about supporting the actual biological processes that produce energy at the cellular level — processes like mitochondrial function, nutrient metabolism, and the conversion of food into fuel your body can actually use. At Fitlab Nutrition, we approached energy by building our formulations around supporting those systems rather than overriding them.

ii.

Metabolic health

Your metabolism is the entire network of chemical processes that keep your body running: how you process nutrients, how you regulate blood sugar, how you store and burn fat, how your hormones communicate with each other. Our approach is rooted in supporting the body's own regulatory systems — the longer, quieter work of helping your metabolism function the way it is supposed to.

iii.

Gut health

Your gut is not just where digestion happens. It is a complex ecosystem of trillions of microorganisms that play a role in nutrient absorption, immune defence, inflammation regulation, and even the production of neurotransmitters like serotonin. We wanted to support the gut environment as a whole — the diversity of beneficial bacteria, the integrity of the gut lining, and the conditions that allow a healthy microbiome to thrive over time.

Why these three work together

These three pillars are deeply interconnected. Poor gut health undermines nutrient absorption, which starves your cells of the raw materials they need to produce energy. Metabolic dysfunction disrupts the hormonal signals that regulate appetite and energy expenditure. Low energy makes it harder to exercise, prepare healthy food, or manage stress — all of which feed back into gut and metabolic health. We chose to focus on all three because that is where lasting improvement actually comes from.

How We Work

Research first, product second.

Every product in the Fitlab Nutrition range begins with a question, not a market opportunity. We do not start by looking at what is trending on social media and then scrambling to create a supplement that fits the trend.

Research first, product second.

We start by asking: is there a genuine, evidence-supported need here? And if so, can we formulate something that meets that need at a standard we are proud of?

That means the research phase comes before everything else. Our team reviews published clinical studies, consults with nutritional scientists, and examines the existing evidence for every ingredient we consider. We are looking for a few specific things: has this ingredient been studied in humans, not just in a petri dish? Were the studies well-designed, with proper controls and meaningful sample sizes? And crucially, at what dosage did the effects occur?

That last point matters more than most people realise. An ingredient can have beautiful clinical data behind it, but if the effective dose is 500 milligrams and a brand puts 50 milligrams in its product, you are not getting the benefit the research described. You are getting a label claim. At Fitlab Nutrition, we commit to using clinically relevant dosages — the amounts that the actual research suggests are needed to produce a meaningful effect. It is more expensive to formulate this way. It means fewer ingredients per capsule in some cases. But it is the only approach that respects both the science and the person taking the product.

What transparent labelling actually means

The phrase "transparent labelling" gets used a lot in this industry, often by brands that are anything but transparent. At Fitlab Nutrition, it means every ingredient is listed individually with its exact dosage. No proprietary blends. No hidden amounts. No asterisks leading to vague footnotes. When you pick up a Fitlab Nutrition product, you can see precisely what is inside, how much of each ingredient is present, and in what form. You should never have to guess what you are taking or wonder whether the ingredient you are paying for is actually present in a meaningful quantity.

It also means we do not dress up our labels with misleading language. We do not call something "ultra-concentrated" when it is not. We do not use phrases like "maximum strength" without context. We tell you what is in the capsule, how much, and why. The rest is up to you and, where appropriate, your healthcare provider.

Third-party testing

Formulating a good product is one thing. Proving it is what you say it is — that is another. This is why Fitlab Nutrition uses third-party testing as a non-negotiable part of our quality process. Independent laboratories verify that what is on our label matches what is in the product. They test for purity, potency, and the absence of contaminants like heavy metals, microbial contamination, and undeclared substances.

We do not view third-party testing as a marketing badge. We view it as a basic obligation. If you are asking someone to put something into their body, you should be willing to have someone independent confirm that it is safe, pure, and accurately represented. That is not going above and beyond. That is doing the minimum. We just happen to work in an industry where the minimum is treated as exceptional.

Ingredient Integrity

Sourcing that respects both science and people.

The quality of a supplement is only as good as the quality of its ingredients, and the quality of those ingredients depends on where they come from and how they are handled before they reach the final product.

At Fitlab Nutrition, ingredient sourcing is not an afterthought. It is one of the first and most important decisions we make when developing a new product. We work with suppliers who can provide full traceability, certificates of analysis, and documentation of their own quality control processes. If a supplier cannot meet our standards — or if we cannot independently verify that they have met them — we do not use them, regardless of price.

This is also where our commitment to vegan-friendly and gluten-free formulations comes in. We did not make that choice because plant-based is fashionable. We made it because we believe supplements should be accessible to as many people as possible without requiring someone to compromise on their dietary values or needs. Whether you are vegan by choice, gluten-free by medical necessity, or simply prefer products that avoid common allergens, Fitlab Nutrition products are designed to work for you.

Purity matters to us beyond just what is on the label. We care about what is not on the label too — the fillers, binders, and unnecessary additives that many supplement brands use to cut costs or bulk out capsules. Where we can reduce or eliminate these without compromising the product, we do. Every ingredient in a Fitlab Nutrition capsule should be there for a reason, and that reason should be your health.

UK Founded

UK founded, UK produced — why that matters.

Fitlab Nutrition is proudly UK-founded and UK-produced. That is not just a line on our packaging. It is a deliberate choice that shapes how we operate, who we work with, and what standards we hold ourselves to.

UK founded, UK produced — why that matters.

The United Kingdom has some of the most rigorous manufacturing standards for supplements in the world. Products are subject to oversight from regulatory bodies that set clear expectations for safety, labelling accuracy, and manufacturing practices. By keeping our production in the UK, we stay close to our supply chain, maintain direct oversight of our manufacturing processes, and ensure that every batch meets the standards we have set — not just the regulatory minimum, but our own internal benchmarks, which are often stricter.

Being UK-based also means accountability. We are not a faceless entity manufacturing in an unknown facility halfway around the world. We are here. Our team is here. Our production partners are here. If something goes wrong — and in any business, things occasionally do — we are close enough to identify the issue, address it quickly, and make it right. That proximity is not just practical. It is a form of respect for the people who trust us with their health.

There is also something personal about it. The founding team of Fitlab Nutrition grew up in the UK, built their careers here, and wanted to create something that reflects the values they associate with British craftsmanship at its best: attention to detail, quiet integrity, and a refusal to cut corners even when no one is watching.

Our Team

The people behind Fitlab Nutrition.

We are sometimes asked what the Fitlab Nutrition team looks like, and the honest answer is: it looks like a group of people who care too much about ingredients to ever be entirely relaxed at a dinner party. We are the ones reading the back of every food label at the supermarket. We are the ones who get genuinely excited about a new peer-reviewed study on gut microbiome diversity. We are the ones who will happily spend forty-five minutes debating whether a particular botanical extract is better standardised to one compound or another.

Our team includes people with backgrounds in nutrition science, product development, quality assurance, and health communication. But titles and credentials only tell you so much. What actually defines this team is a shared stubbornness about doing things properly. We have turned down faster-to-market formulations because the ingredient quality was not right. We have delayed product launches to re-run testing when results came back even slightly outside our targets. We have had long, occasionally heated discussions about whether a product is truly ready, and the default answer is always "not until we are sure."

That stubbornness is cultural, not accidental. From the earliest days of Fitlab Nutrition, we decided that the team culture would be built around a single principle: nothing leaves our hands that we would not happily give to our own families. That is an easy thing to say and a genuinely hard thing to live by when deadlines are pressing and budgets are tight. But it is the line we have drawn, and we have not crossed it.

We are not a huge team, and we do not pretend to be. What we are is committed, curious, and perpetually unsatisfied — in the best possible way. We are always looking for ways to improve our formulations, our processes, and our communication. The day we stop asking "can we do this better?" is the day we have lost the thing that makes Fitlab Nutrition worth building.

Our Relationship With You

A conversation, not a transaction.

We do not call the people who buy Fitlab Nutrition products "consumers." That word has always felt transactional to us, as if the relationship ends the moment someone clicks "place order."

A conversation, not a transaction.

We prefer to think of them as people we are in an ongoing conversation with — people whose experiences, questions, and feedback are genuinely shaping what we do.

That is not a marketing line. It is operational reality. When we receive feedback — whether it is a compliment, a complaint, or a suggestion — it goes directly to the product and development team. We track patterns. If three people mention that a capsule is difficult to swallow, that becomes a formulation discussion. If someone asks why we chose one form of an ingredient over another, we take that as a sign that we need to communicate our reasoning more clearly. If a customer tells us a product did not work for them, we want to understand why, not just offer a refund and move on.

We also try to be honest about what our products can and cannot do. Supplements are exactly what the name implies — they supplement a healthy diet and lifestyle. They are not replacements for good nutrition, regular movement, adequate sleep, or professional medical advice. We will never tell you that a Fitlab Nutrition product will transform your life overnight, because that would be dishonest. What we will tell you is that we have done everything in our power to create products that support your body's natural processes with integrity and evidence behind every ingredient.

The relationship we want with the people who choose Fitlab Nutrition is one built on mutual respect. We respect you enough to tell you the truth. We hope you will hold us to that standard and let us know when we fall short.

"Trust is not built by words. It is built by behaviour, repeated consistently over time, especially when being honest is inconvenient."

— On the Fitlab Approach
Transparency & Trust

The courage to be honest.

Trust is a word that gets thrown around a lot in branding, and we are aware that simply saying "trust us" is meaningless. Trust is not built by words. It is built by behaviour, repeated consistently over time, especially when being honest is inconvenient.

At Fitlab Nutrition, our approach to trust is rooted in a few practical commitments. First, we will never make a claim about a product that we cannot support with evidence. If the research behind an ingredient is promising but not yet conclusive, we will say that. We will not dress up preliminary findings as settled science. Second, we will always be transparent about what is in our products and why. If we change a formulation, we will tell you what changed and the reason behind it. Third, we will own our mistakes. No company gets everything right, and pretending otherwise is a fast way to lose the credibility that actually matters.

We have already had moments where this commitment was tested. There have been times when we could have launched a product faster by cutting a corner that no one would have noticed. There have been times when we could have used a cheaper ingredient that was close enough to the one we wanted. In every case, we chose the harder path, not because we are saints, but because the alternative would have made us exactly the kind of brand we started Fitlab Nutrition to be different from.

Transparency also means being clear about our limitations. We are not a pharmaceutical company. We do not diagnose or treat medical conditions. Our products are designed to support general wellbeing, not to replace medical treatment. If you have a health concern, please speak with a qualified healthcare professional. We will never position ourselves as a substitute for that advice, and we would be deeply uncomfortable if anyone treated us as one.

Looking Ahead

Where Fitlab Nutrition is going.

When we think about the future of Fitlab Nutrition, the first thing we think about is not growth for its own sake. It is impact. We want to change the way people relate to supplements.

Where Fitlab Nutrition is going.

In an ideal world, every supplement brand would list every ingredient with its exact dose. Every claim would be backed by published research. Every product would be third-party tested. Every label would be written in plain language that respects the intelligence of the person reading it. We know we cannot single-handedly make that world a reality, but we can demonstrate that it is possible to run a supplement brand this way and still build something sustainable.

Over the coming years, we plan to expand the Fitlab Nutrition range thoughtfully — not by chasing trends, but by identifying areas where the same problems of confusion and poor quality persist and where we believe our approach can make a genuine difference. Every new product will go through the same rigorous development process as our existing range. We will not rush something to market because a competitor launched first. We would rather be late and right than early and mediocre.

We are also investing in education. One of the most powerful things we can do is help people understand their own bodies better — not in a patronising way, but in a practical, accessible way that gives them the knowledge to make informed decisions, whether they buy from us or not. Our content, our science pages, and our communication are all part of this effort. We believe that an informed customer is not a threat to a good brand. It is the best thing that can happen to one.

Five years from now, we hope that when someone thinks of Fitlab Nutrition, they do not think of us as a supplement company. We hope they think of us as the brand that finally made it easy to understand what they were taking and why. That would mean more to us than any revenue milestone.

Our Commitments

What Fitlab Nutrition will never do.

It is just as important to know what a brand will not do as it is to know what it will. Over the years, we have quietly built a list of practices that Fitlab Nutrition will never adopt, no matter how common they become in the industry or how much short-term revenue they might generate.

We will never use proprietary blends to hide ingredient dosages. If something is in our product, you will know exactly how much is there. We will never use misleading before-and-after imagery or imply that our supplements alone are responsible for dramatic physical transformations. Real health improvement is multifactorial — it involves nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, and often professional guidance. A supplement plays a supporting role in that picture, and we will always represent it as such.

We will never pay for fake reviews or manufacture testimonials. The feedback we share is from real people who have used our products and chosen to tell us about their experience. We will never make medical claims or suggest that our products can prevent, treat, or cure any disease. That is not just a legal requirement — it is an ethical one. And we will never reformulate a product to make it cheaper without telling you. If a formulation changes, you will hear about it from us directly, with a clear explanation of what changed and why.

These are not aspirational statements. They are operational commitments that every member of the Fitlab Nutrition team understands and upholds. We put them here because we believe accountability works best when it is public. Now you know what to hold us to.

Beyond the Capsule

Thinking beyond what goes inside the capsule.

Thinking beyond what goes inside the capsule.

Running a supplement brand means thinking about more than what goes inside the capsule. It also means thinking about packaging, waste, supply chain ethics, and the broader impact of the business on the world around it. We will not pretend that Fitlab Nutrition has all of this figured out. We are a young company, and there is still work to do. But we want to be open about where we are and where we are heading.

We have made deliberate choices to minimise unnecessary packaging wherever possible. We are exploring more sustainable material options for our bottles and shipping materials. And we are paying attention to the environmental practices of the suppliers we work with, because ingredient integrity is not just about purity — it is also about how those ingredients are produced and whether the process respects the environment and the people involved in it.

We do not claim to be a sustainability-first brand, because that would overstate where we are right now. But we are a brand that takes these questions seriously and is actively working to improve. We believe that building a good business means thinking about the long-term impact of every decision, not just the immediate benefit. That includes how we treat the planet, not just how we treat our ingredients.

A Final Word

From us to you.

If you have read this far, you now know more about Fitlab Nutrition than most people know about any brand they buy from. We appreciate that. In a world of short attention spans and endless scrolling, taking the time to understand what a company actually stands for is an act of care — for yourself and for the standards you hold the products in your life to.

We are not going to end this with a pitch. You already know what we sell and why we sell it. Instead, we will end with a promise — the same one we made to ourselves when we started this company and the same one we renew every time we develop a new product, review a batch of test results, or sit down to write an ingredient label.

We promise to keep doing this honestly. To keep putting evidence ahead of trends. To keep telling you what is in our products, how much, and why. To keep earning your trust rather than assuming it. And to keep asking ourselves, every single day, whether we are living up to the standard we set out to create.

That is Fitlab Nutrition. Not a brand that claims to be perfect. A brand that is committed to being transparent, being thorough, and being worthy of your trust. We are glad you are here, and we do not take it for granted.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We hope this is the beginning of something good.
